About Richard...

At the age of eleven Richard was literally spellbound by a professional magician whilst on holiday with his parents. By the age of thirteen he was entertaining local children in his hometown Enfield, London. He joined local magic clubs and began performing for The Demon Club and Davenports (the world renown London emporium). Competitions followed and at sixteen Richard won a local talent show.

Richard completed his education in 1989 and began employment at Harrods department store in Knightsbridge, London. This lasted three months as Richard's love of magic took over and he became a children's magician whilst perfecting his dove act, this would then propel him into the professional magician world. At the age of seventeen, along with his seven feathery friends Richard won The Magic Circle's prestigious Young Magician Of The Year earning him immediate entry to the club. This led to a publicity stunt where Richard performed in Hamleys toy shop window for Marvins Magic in London. A year later he won The International Brotherhood Of Magicians Silver Shield and then went on to win The British Magical Championships - becoming the first magician ever to win all three national awards.

Richard was now in demand and shows throughout the UK in theatres, hotels and clubs followed. He supported many British headliners - Brian Conley, Frankie Vaughan, Hale and Pace, David Berglas, Mike Reid, Joe Longthorne, David Essex and even Mr Blobby. TV appearances included BBC's Edingburgh Nights, Saturday Morning Picture Show and Tricky Business, ITV's Motormouth, Disneyclub, Ghost train, and Des O' Conners Pot Of Gold. On Channel 4 Richard appeared on Frank Skinner's Packing Them In and The Xmas Files. He also guested on The David Hamilton show and Sky TV's The Derek Jameson Show.

In 1995 Richard Joined the UK's longest running magic show Mystique in Blackpool, England.

Richard's technical knowledge has also been used over the years as a magical advisor, credits include amongst others, TV's Mr Bean, The Paul Daniels Magic Show,The Brian Conley Show as well as The Royal Shakespeare Company, Visa card, The Xmas Files,The National Film Institute and The Tricycle Theatre in London.

Memorable performances were for MP's at The House Of Commons, Prince Edward at The Bafta Art Awards and Prince William and Kate Middleton at the Thursford Christmas Spectacular, on their first public appearance after their engagement in 2010. His most memorable performance though was for a private audience of Michael Jackson in 1992 during his legendary Dangerous Tour - Michael told Richard 'You're fantastic!"

Richard now decided to expand his show adding spectacular illusions and theatrical effects. The act grew and over the next 12 years they became one of the most entertaining and mesmerizing shows on the high seas. Travelling the world they worked for the most prestigious cruise lines.

In 2012 Richard went solo after his wife Hayley gave birth to a baby boy named Jenson. He created 'The Unspeakable Magician' an act in which he does not say a word which was a great success in 2014 as support act to 'Britain's Got Talent ' finalist Steve Hewlett on his 2014 UK tour appearing in over 40 theatres. He also created an act where he performs magic to music, but also fun audience participation with patter which is ideal for any type of venue or function.
