Olly M

Olly was born in 1993 and is a graduate of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where he studied composition with John Ashton Thomas, Errollyn Wallen and Edward Jessen, and conducting with Gregory Rose and Jonathan Tilbrook. His compositional work, which has been described as "vibrant and colourful", has been performed by orchestras, string ensembles, brass bands and many smaller ensembles and soloists. During his time at Trinity Laban, he developed an interest in the link between music and colour, which culminated in an orchestral concert of his works exploring this connection, accompanied by film.

About Olly...

Olly is just as much a composer and arranger as he is a pianist and vocalist. He studied composition at Music College, writing for everything from string quartet to symphony orchestra, but has also been playing the piano in restaurants since he was 16. Although a classically trained pianist, Olly is much more at home playing and singing his preferred repertoire of jazz standards from the first half of the 20th Century, which complement his deep voice. Olly is currently resident at the RAC Epsom but is also regularly featured by many of the Capitol’s exclusive hotels including the Savoy's American Bar.
