About Celena Bridge
Award winning soprano touring the world with a stunning solo classical show.
Celena's performances take audiences on a journey through the wide-ranging world of opera, together with some modern classics.
Her internationally acclaimed vocals soar over luscious orchestral arrangements of arias, and her fresh, contemporary twists on popular songs create a classical fusion show that is both a musical and a visual feast.
Celena's artistry reveals a solid foundation of intensive world class training from The Royal Academy of Music and with The English National Opera, and her performances are truthful, funny and captivating.
Celena graduated with honours from the Royal Academy of Music and was the recipient of the prestigious 'Rutson Memorial Prize'. In 2017, she completed her training with English National Opera on their celebrated Young Artist Opera Works programme. This summer Celena is touring Europe with her solo opera show, and as the guest Soprano for Princess Cruise line's award winning 'Bravo!' show, directed by Danny Teeson, Oratorio appearances this year include the soprano one soloist in a performance of the Bach B minor Mass at Durham Cathedral.
This past Autumn, Celena returned to work with English National Opera, performing the role of Zerlina for their esteemed "Opera Squad" performances, and Summer 2017 saw her performing as the guest soprano in 'Celebrate Gershwin' with West Green House Opera. Other recent operatic roles include Gilda (Rigoletto), Yvette and Fleury (La Rondine) and Pauline (La Vie Parisienne) for Iford Arts, Yum Yum (The Mikado) and Mabel (Pirates of Penzance) with Opera Della Luna and Buxton G&S Festival, Frasquita (Carmen) and Zerlina (Don Giovanni).
In film, Celena played the role of an opera singer in Stephen Poliakoff's film Capturing Mary, starring Dame Maggie Smith, Ruth Wilson and David Walliams, recording the soundtrack at Abbey Road Studios, London.'...exquisitely feminine, coquettish yet completely soulful soprano, with a wonderfully disciplined voice conveying every nuance required of her destined career...' Arthur Duncan, review of Zerlina, Don Giovanni
"...her voice soaring majestically over the rest of the texture. The performance was a triumph." Mike Wheeler ... ArtsBeat, review on Tavener's Requiem Fragments
