About Ben...

Ben has been blessed with an enthusiasm and drive that has led him to some extraordinary accomplishments. Performances over the last few years have included HRH Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee Pageant at Windsor Castle, The 'Shooting Star' Charity Event at The Dorchester Hotel for guests including The Duchess of York and Simon Cowell, backing vocals for British soul icon Joss Stone, support slots for artists such as Alexandra Burke, The Overtones, The Sugababes & The Mystery Jets and performances on Channel 4, BBC 'Friday Download,' ITV and BBC Introducing Radio.

Having been the youngest of four musical siblings, Ben began learning the trumpet, piano and voice at age 6. Developing an early obsession for all genres of music, Ben completed all of his graded exams on each instrument and also gained Diplomas from the Royal School of Music and the London College of Music whilst still at school. During this time Ben secured his first professional job as resident musician at the Michelin-Starred Restaurant Alimentum in Cambridge. After finishing his education 2 years ago, Ben completed his Licentiate of The Royal School of Music qualification, moved to London and set out on a career path that has already seen some exceptional highlights.

Ben has performed at The Royal Albert Hall, St. Paul's Cathedral and St. Mark's Basilica, Venice as a soloist and as a member of many ensembles including the ACM Gospel Choir. Ben is also currently working alongside Twenty First Artists and Big Label Records as a singer-songwriter under the moniker 'Benedict,' releasing a series of EPs including 'Glory Days' (April 2012) and 'Another Way' (November 2012) which was mastered at the world famous Abbey Road Recording Studios.

From October 2012, Ben secured a residency at the Dorchester Promenade Bar performing Sun/Mon/Tues as a solo pianist/vocalist alongside select performances with a jazz trio including his sister, Susanna Squires. Ben can also regularly be heard performing at the Hyatt Regency Promenade Bar, Claridge's Hotel, The Savoy Beaufort Bar and De Beer's Diamond Jewellers amongst many other of London's finest establishments.
